Ian Tooke started his Insurance career at Antony Gibbs Sage in September 1977 working in their North American Property Division in a technical support role before progressing to the broking side in 1979.

In August 1984 he joined Howson F. Devitt, as a Property Broker in their North American Division.

In August 1985 Ian moved to Besso Ltd with Howard Green and the Property Team from Howson F. Devitt to form the Besso Property Division.

In the twenty six years at Besso, Ian Tooke has been promoted to a Divisional Director in October 1996 and to a full Besso Limited Director in January 2003 with responsibilities for all forms of transportation business and Binding Authorities.
